{please don’t pick the} flowers

You know what’s great about photo shoots in public gardens? The flowers.  You know what makes it hard for kids having their photos taken in public gardens? The flowers.  So many kids just want to pick them, and who can blame them?  They are so large and colorful and tempting.  Often parents and I have to gently steer little hands away, reminding them to leave the flowers for the next visitors to enjoy.  One way I try to console kids, especially little girls, is to “pick” the flowers with my camera.  I love to photograph the flowers, and seeing a photo of the flower they wanted to pick can often be just as satisfying.  After “picking” lots of flowers over many sessions, I thought I would make a bouquet for you.  Enjoy!

Welcome to the beasknees photo blog. Here you will find posts about my recent photo sessions, including sneak preview pictures for anxious clients! It's my joy to take photographs, and I am grateful for the many doors God has opened for me to be able to pursue this passion. I am blessed with supportive family and friends who show up in so many of my frames and who provide nothing short of total support and encouragement. Enjoy the blog, drop me a line, and keep checking back!
